THE STORY
TIMELINE
2014
At a 1950's kitchen table in a 900 square foot apartment in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Chad White realized that he was sacrificing creative energy, personal growth, and authentic relationships for profit-focused productivity. Armed with vision, integrity and a hint of rebellion, he and his wife, Keri, decided to reorganize their life and redefine "work" in a way that prioritized artistry and fostered relationships. Chad left his safe but demanding desk job and launched The Eau Claire Design Company. Keri created the branding & marketing between homeschooling and writing songs.
2015
The Eau Claire Design Company found its first brick & mortar office among artists & craftsman at Artisan Forge Studios. Over the next few years, Chad & Keri enjoyed rich friendships and collaborative opportunities. Their portfolio grew to include challenging lake home remodels, boutique commercial designs, and custom home plans.
2020
Despite a pandemic, The Eau Claire Design Company was growing and made the move to a larger space in beautiful downtown Eau Claire. At the same time, Chad & Keri broke ground to build their own custom, high-performance home. Mountains & valleys were navigated over the next few years, but the complexities proved to be clarifying & edifying.
2026
Today, The Eau Claire Design Company happily specializes in High-End Custom Home planning & design. We continue to be passionate about experiential, boutique commercial spaces as well. Through our tried & true Design Process, we enthusiastically guide our clients from vision-casting to ground-breaking!
THE STUDIO
We might be biased, but downtown Eau Claire is a fantastic destination. You can grab a bite to eat, do a little shopping, and meet with your architect all in one day (or two hour window depending on where you parked).
Details at the studio matter, so we look forward to showing you our curated space and talking about your project over a cup of coffee or sparkling water.
With your approval or upon request, a visit to our studio could also include a little canine "therapy" with Kenai Moonshine White (our happy dog).
